Your tour begins with historic Basseterre City, so have your cameras at the ready to take pictures of monumental landmarks such as the Berkeley Memorial, Independence Square (once was a slave market) and the Catholic Cathedral which reflect the heritage and culture of the Kittitian people.

Your scenic journey into the past takes you to Wingfield Estate whose restored ruins, aqueduct, machinery, tall chimney boiling pots and rum distillery of bygone times brings to life the fascinating history of the estate and how rum was made. Depart Wingfield Estate for a short drive to Romney Manor/Caribelle Batik where you can enjoy exotic gardens and view a short demo of batik printing and shopping. Your next stop is Clay Villa Estate.

The historical past of St. Kitts comes alive at fabled Clay Villa Estate whose guided tour of lush, vibrant, colorful gardens, very much alive with rescued wildlife, a visit to the museum of treasured artifacts and a tour of the original plantation house, still a family home going back seven generations takes you back into yesteryear and the fantasies of your mind.

At Clay Villa you are invited to partake in tasting a selection of island made rums and enjoy a thirst quenching rum/fruit punch which will have you asking for more.

Depart Clay Villa for the port, passing along the way the ruins of the St. Kitts Sugar Factory and the rum bottling and blending plant at Bird Rock, where excellent rums such as C.S.R., Brinley’s and Belmont Estate are produced.
