It is important to note that tours offered through Port Promotions and Services Inc, (PPI) or its affiliate sites are in no way related to those excursions offered by individual cruise lines.
Generally your reservation will be processed within 24-36 hours of when it was placed. If your shore excursion order is placed within 24 hours of when you begin traveling for your cruise, you should have access to email and or a printer so you may receive and print your e-vouchers. Unless otherwise stated, purchases made through PPI or any affiliated website are subject to these terms and conditions; all bookings, the person who made the booking will be deemed to have accepted these conditions on behalf of the person named in the bookings.
We personally check each and every booking and will contact you if we encounter any conflicts with your cruise itinerary or otherwise, regarding your selected shore excursions.
Guaranteed on-time return to port
If you are not returned to the ship in time to board, we will cover the necessary expenses to transport you to the next port of call.
Low Price Guarantee
If you find the exact same shore excursion offered at a lower rate by your cruise line we will reduce our price for you on that tour below the cruise line price.
Cancellations due to weather: A full refund will be given for tours that are canceled by the tour operator due to weather. PPI reserves the right to confirm the weather related cancellation with the tour operator prior to issuing refunds.
Cancellations Due to Missed Port or Late Ship Arrival: A full refund will be given for tours that are canceled due to the ship's inability to get into port. If your ship arrives in port late we may know this and will try to reschedule and or modify the tour departure time and content. Please contact our local number on your voucher to confirm your tour, or a rescheduled time, directly with the local tour operator. If we have to modify the tour content to accommodate your ships late arrival you will be given the option for a refund or to take the modified tour.
If you take the modified tour you will not receive a refund unless arranged prior to the excursion. If your ship arrives in port after the scheduled tour time please follow the directions on your tickets (the Pier Instructions) and contact our local operator. For most tours when a ship arrives late accommodations will be made to run the tour for you. PPI reserves the right to confirm the ship’s itinerary change with the cruise line and or our tour operator prior to issuing refunds.
Please email us at email@example.com upon your return home to inform us of a missed port or delayed arrival in case our operator has not provided this information to us already.
Cancellations for other reasons: Shore Excursions may be canceled by PPI or our local operators due to inclement weather conditions or any reason whatsoever. &sbsp; If a tour requires a minimum number of participants and the minimum number of participants is not met, the tour may be subject to cancellation. In which case, and as your sole recourse, full refunds will be made for the canceled shore excursions.
PPI accepts MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover Cards.
Full payment is due at time of booking to confirm your reservation. Reservations will not be considered confirmed without full payment. Tour prices are subject to change until tour payment is made.
Your credit card statement will show 'PORT PROMO CRUISE TOURS' on your credit card statement. If you have questions about the charge amount, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or 1-800-929-4548.
Any credit card inquiry should be directed to email@example.com prior to contacting the credit card company to file a dispute. Customers who dispute a PPI credit card charge by filing a chargeback notice with their credit card company without first contacting firstname.lastname@example.org will be charged a $ 50.00 administrative fee (per chargeback notice) by PPI if the chargeback is ruled in PPI's favor by the credit card company.
A late booking fee of $ 25 may be assessed for bookings made 72 hours (three days) or less prior to the sail date of your cruise ship to facilitate and expedite the handling and confirmation of the reservation.
If at your request, the tour is extended, modified, or changed during the tour and those changes result in additional charges, fees or expenses, your credit card will be charged for the additional fees.
1) Shore Excursions to Alaska, Caribbean, Hawaii, Mexican Riviera, Central America, North East & Bahamas
In order to qualify for a full refund all cancellation requests must be received by seven days (7) days prior to the date of the tour you are canceling.
Cancellations received by PPI less than seven (7) days prior to the date of the tour you are canceling will be subject to a late cancellation fee of up to 100%.
If you decide, for any reason whatsoever, not to participate in all or part of the tour, PPI will not be required to make any refunds. Given that the resale of the canceled space on a tour will likely result in a lost opportunity to sell space, passengers who fail to join the tour will not receive a refund.("No Show" Policy)
2) Shore Excursions in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and South America
In order to qualify for a full refund all cancellations must be received by PPI ten (10) days prior to the date of the tour you are canceling.
Cancellations received by PPI less than ten (10) days prior to the date of the tour you are canceling will be subject to a late cancellation fee of up to 100 %
If you decide, for any reason whatsoever, not to participate in all or part of the tour, PPI will not be required to make any refunds. Given that the resale of the canceled space on a tour will likely result in a lost opportunity to sell space, passengers who fail to join the tour will not receive a refund. ("No Show" policy)
Any region not specifically listed herein requires a ten (10) day notice of cancellation.
3) Overnight Packages & Customized Travel Arrangements
Overnight packages, including hotel rooms, will be subject to cancellation fees at 30 days prior to the service date of 50 %,at 21 days up to 100%. Packages that include air arrangements or other prepaid components may be subject to a cancellation fee equal to the airfare or other prepaid cost once the tour is confirmed.
Group and customized excursions may be subject to special cancellation policies that will be given at the time of bookings if different than the above.
If during your excursion you request and are provided additional time, service or tour modifications which add additional expenses to the excursion, your credit card will be charged for the additional fees.
4) Notification of Refund Request
To request a refund, for whatever reason, after the tour date requires notification to PPI in a timely manner and can be made by emailing email@example.com or by phone 800-929-4548 Ex 1204, no later than 21 days after the tour. Failure to notify PPI within this time frame may result in your request for refund being denied. Refunds related to weather and missed ports are not subject to this time line.
Refund requests made by means of a credit card dispute without contacting Shore Excursions by PortPromotions.com (PPI) first may be charged a $ 50.00 administrative fee (per chargeback notice) by PPI if the chargeback is ruled in PPI's favor by the credit card company.
If payment was made by and through a travel agency, the refund will be made to that entity. In this instance, you are responsible for obtaining from your travel agency monies either retained by the agency or received by the agency from PPI.
Currency Rate Fluctuations
All charges and refunds to credit cards are made in US Dollars at the stated rates and tour prices posted on our website. Currency rate fluctuations realized by the credit card holder on their credit card statement due to the timing of these credit card transactions are the responsibility of the credit card holder. Foreign transaction fees charged by the cardholder’s credit card company for purchases in US Dollars are the responsibility of the credit card holder.
Where child rates are offered, it applies to children ages 12 and under, unless otherwise noted. If you book a child rate and the traveler presenting to participate in the excursion does not qualify for that child rate you may be refused the tour by the operator and would not be eligible for a refund. Alternatively, you may be asked to authorize the charge to your credit card for the adult tour cost increment in order to participate in the excursion.
Travel Documents and Tickets/Vouchers
Within 24-36 hours of placing your order, you will receive an email set of tour tickets/vouchers from myexcursions@Portpromotions.com.
It is your responsibility to print and carry your tickets with you. If your excursions require explicit time and space confirmation with the tour operator (for example helicopter flight-seeing, excursions involving animals or private tours), excursion confirmation and the sending of vouchers may take a little longer while we confirm your reservation with the operators.
Suggested tour times listed on our website may not correspond with your assigned excursion departure. Your confirmed excursion time will be specified on your voucher along with Pier Instructions detailing how and where to meet your tour operator and the local operator's contact information.
You are responsible for contacting PPI if you have misplaced or cannot retrieve your tickets. You may reprint your vouchers yourself by logging into My Account at www.portpromotions.com.
If you do not have your tickets within 48 hours of placing your order, you must contact us at 1-800-929-4548 or firstname.lastname@example.org and provide your PPI Confirmation Number and last name to help us research your order. We are able to re-send your tickets.
The emailed vouchers are required to participate in your tours and it is your responsibility to contact PPI if you have not received these tickets.
We recommend that you print your vouchers prior to beginning to travel to your sailing departure because internet access on the cruise ships may be limited, unavailable and or costly. If you ordered and received your tour vouchers more than four (4) months prior to the excursion dates, we recommend you contact us at least two (2) weeks prior to your sail date to confirm the excursions to make sure the departure details have not changed.
It is your responsibility to make sure you have the proper documentation to enter the countries you are visiting.
In some ports, for example St Petersburg, Russia, we will provide a Tour Authorization Certificate about 30 days prior to your tour date. This certificate replaces the formal State Department issued visa you might otherwise need. You will be required to provide passport and additional information to PPI in order for us to request the Tour Authorization Certificate for you. It will be your responsibility to have this Certificate with you (along with your passport) to present to the proper authorities in order to exit the ship for the day and participate in the excursion. Refunds will not be provided for your failure to print and carry with you the Tour Authorization Certificate provided by the operator and Shore Excursions by Portpromotions.com (PPI).
Special Requirements or Needs
It is essential that we are notified of any special medical, physical or other requirements you may have at the time of booking. We seek, to every extent possible, to accommodate the needs of those with disabilities so that you are able to enjoy our tours. Although Port Promotions endeavors to make sure that other persons or companies providing services or portions of the tour satisfy their obligations under applicable law, PPI cannot guarantee that services or portions of your tour operated outside the United States will be fully accessible to those with disabilities. In limited situations where an individual with a disability would be unable to satisfy certain specific safety and other criteria, even when provided with appropriate auxiliary aids and services, we may find it necessary to ask the individual to make alternative travel arrangements.
Some tours (e.g. flight-seeing or zip lines) may have weight restrictions. For your safety, our operators may require us to provide accurate weights of the passengers requesting reservations. Failure to provide accurate information may result in our inability to accommodate you on the tour and will be considered a voluntary cancellation or require additional fees to be collected on site if space is available.
Some tours (e.g. scuba diving) may have certain health restrictions. For your safety, our operators may require you to fill out health questionnaires prior to participating in the specified excursion. Failure to qualify for participation in the tour at the tour departure point may be considered a voluntary cancellation and refunds will not be guaranteed.
Travel to some ports requires special travel documents (e.g. passports or one-day visitor Tour Authorizasiton Certificate). It is your responsibility to provide Port Promotions with the appropriate document information (such as Passport number and birth date) in advance of your sailing date in order for us to confirm your tours. Failure to provide this information may cause your tour to be canceled without a refund or additional fees being charged. See the tour details or Tips for specific documents needed.
Gratuities for drivers, food servers, cab drivers, hotel and cruise staff and other service providers are not included in our prices, and although generally considered appropriate, this is strictly a personal decision.
Port Promotions Responsibilities and Liabilities
Port Promotions' responsibilities and liabilities in regards to the excursions we offer are defined in the Important Information that you will receive with your tour tickets. Please read this information carefully when received. It is important to note that services or portions of the service provided by any person or company other than Port Promotions (taxis, tour operators, hotels, or boats) are performed by independent contractors, and are solely at your risk and are subject to the terms or arrangements made by you or on your behalf with the independent contractor. Port Promotions assumes no responsibility with respect to the goods or services of these independent contractors (including for delay, injury, death, or damage to property) even though it may collect monies or make arrangements on your behalf. If a tour requires a minimum number of participants and the minimum number of participants is not met, the tour may be subject to cancellation.

From time to time, Port Promotions or its operators may be forced to make itinerary changes or to modify the means of conveyance on a particular tour. Your participation in the modified tour program indicates your acceptance of these changes. In the event that this change is not amenable, please do not participate in the tour program and you will be refunded.
PPI Gift Certificates
PPI gift certificates can only be redeemed on PPI or affiliates web sites against any product offered by PPI. PPI gift certificates are valid for two years from the date of purchase, as required by local law or as stated specifically on the certificate. The certificate will remain valid until the entire amount is utilized or expired.
Gift Certificates are not redeemable for cash and all sales are final. Promotional Codes and discounts may not be applied to gift certificate purchases.
Some Shore Excursions by Port Promotions.com partners may provide promotional codes. Promotional codes have no cash value and must be applied at the time of booking. These codes may have conditions including specific tours, dates, itineraries and any other conditions specified by our partners. Promotional Codes may not be applied to gift certificate purchases.
Use of promotional codes that do not comply with the terms and conditions set for a promotion will result in the tour either being denied or confirmed with full payment. If your order is processed with the promotional code value deducted in error your credit card will be charged the additional amount (promotional code value) that was deducted in error.
As unexpected events may arise causing you to cancel your tour and become subject to cancellation fees, Port Promotions encourages its clients to include the cost of their excursions in their travel insurance policy.
