For the first time in The Bahamas, we are pleased to offer a thrilling Encounter with California Sea Lions on magnificent Blue Lagoon Island. Based on our highly successful and award-winning dolphin interaction programs, our new educational and entertaining Sea Lion Encounter is your chance to experience sea lions live and close-up like never before in our pristine all-natural marine habitat.

One of the few programs of this kind in the world, it will be a unique adventure you will never forget!

After a short orientation upon arrival, you will kiss, hug, feed and play with these affectionate and humorous marine mammals and see the sea lions habitat too. Your sea lion interaction will take place from specially designed, waist deep water platforms immersed in our calm, private island lagoon with ten or less guests in your program. You will be in the water approximately fifteen minutes with the sea lions.

Our professional on-site photo and video staff and lab will capture your sea lion interaction and have your memorable souvenirs ready before you leave for your convenience.

Please note the following important information - guests must be eight years and older or 48 inches tall to participate in the Sea Lion Encounter. Guests who are eight (8) to twelve (12) years old must be accompanied by a responsible, paying adult with a ticket for the Sea Lion Encounter. Pregnant women are not allowed in this program. All guests must have the ability to go up and down steps and ramp to access the platform. We are unable to accommodate guests with disabilities in the Sea Lion Encounter.

We go rain or shine! Lunch is available for purchase.

The beach closes at 4:00pm.

Tips

For boating purposes, motorized power chairs and noncollapsible wheelchairs are not allowed on our boats. This tour goes rain or shine. Lunch is available for purchase. The beach closes at 4:00pm.

Departure Location

You will need to take a five to ten minute taxi ride to the ferry landing. Please arrive at the ferry thirty minutes prior to your scheduled tour time. Additional information will be listed in your confirmation email and ticket for this shore excursion. See the "Redemption and Voucher Details" section below.

Redemption and Voucher Details

  1. After you complete your booking, your credit card will be charged and our expert Shore Excursion Concierge agents will 'hand'-review your shore excursion selections against your cruise itinerary to confirm compatibility. Your credit card statement will list the merchant for the charges as Port Promo Cruise Tours.
  2. You will receive an email within 72 hours of booking from myexcursions@portpromotions.com which confirms your booking and contains the vouchers required for your shore excursions. Please print these vouchers and bring them with you on your cruise. You will be required to turn the voucher(s) in to the corresponding shore excursion supplier(s). The vouchers feature information regarding how to meet up with the tour leader upon arrival to a port and other important details.
