Upon arrival in Moscow you will be greeted by your private guide and directed to your comfortable car/van, for a relaxing drive that will be narrated as you make your way to downtown Moscow through the outskirts and residential areas of the city. On your arrival take a break over a cup of tea and begin exploring the city.
View a unique panorama of Moscow from the Sparrow Hills, watch the changing of the guard at Alexander's Garden, stroll through the legendary Red Square - the site of many marches and celebrations during Communist times - and the famous GUM department store.
Admire the magnificent St. Basil's Cathedral, pass through Lubyanka Square and the headquarters of the former KGB.
Walk along the popular Arbat Street with hundreds of restaurants, bars and souvenir shops. Learn about an architectural style dubbed "Stalin Gothic" and the skyscrapers known as 'Seven Sisters' recognizable by their tapered towers.
The grandest example is the main building of Moscow State University. Architecturally, Moscow ranges from Russian 17th - century onion-shaped churches to American-style skyscrapers of the 1930s.
You'll also take a ride on the underground and see the Moscow Metro stations that were built during Stalin's rule as "palaces for the people." The decoration of the stations takes everyone by surprise: mosaics and statues, stained glass panels and chandeliers. If the Mausoleum is open during your visit, you can view Lenin tumb.
After break for lunch we will proceed to the Kremlin - Russia's seat of goverment and the Russian President. During the guided walk through the grounds of the Kremlin you will see governmental buildings, gold - domed cathedrals and Tsar's bell - the largest bell that never rang!
Within the 15th century Kremlin fortress, you will visit the stunning Byzantine- style Assumption Cathedral the oldest and the most important church in the Kremlin where tsars were selected and crowned, decrees were read and solemn events celebrated.
Explore the opulent collection of the Armory museum that contains Russian treasures including court regalia, jewelry, coronation gowns, armor, golden carriages and some of the fabulous Easter eggs created for the TsarS by Faberge.
Transfer to airport or Train Station for your trip back to St. Petersburg.

Price is based on 4 persons, if you have more or less guests traveling with you the pricing will be adjusted either up or down slightly on a per person basis. Please contact us for details. You do not need a Russian visa to take this tour from your ship. Our tour operator is authorized by the city government to arrange services for cruise passengers who do not have Russian visas. In order to guarantee visa-free participation in this tour, we need to receive a Tour Authorization Certificate for you and each person in your traveling party. We must request this Tour Authorization Certificate from our operator no later than two (2) weeks prior to your sail date. After we receive your excursion order, you will receive an email from Shore Excursions by PortPromotions.com asking for your passport and other information. You must provide us with your passport and other information at least two (2) weeks prior to your sail date or we may not have time to receive your Tour Authorization Certificate. Please respond promptly to this request. We will email you your excursion tour voucher for your traveling party, and one tour authorization certificate for each member of your traveling party. It will be your responsibility to print and carry with you 1) the tour voucher, 2) the Tour Authorization Certificate, one for each person traveling with you, and 3) a valid passport for each person in your party. These documents will be required to participate in your St. Petersburg excursion. Failure to have these documents to present to Russian immigration officials and your excursion leader may result in you not being allowed off the ship in St. Petersburg, and may not entitle you to a refund.
