Visit Peter and Paul Fortress and Cathedral, the splendid 18th century ecclesiastical edifice which is still the tallest building in St. Petersburg. Its spire is 122.5 meters or 401 feet tall. The Cathedral is the burial place for many of the Russian Tsars and Tsarinas.
Tours conducted Tuesday through Sunday include a stop at the Hermitage. With the possible exception of the Louvre, there is no museum in the world that rivals the Hermitage in size and quality. Its collection is so large it would take years to view it in its entirety. The collection is displayed in four buildings built in the 18th and 19th centuries, the home of the Russian Tsars.
On Monday you will tour the Peterhof Palace and Park instead of the Hermitage.
