Begin your day visiting the largest and most impressive Minoan Palace, the Palace of Knossos, which was excavated and restored to its former splendor by the British archaeologist Sir Arthur Evans. You will be taken back 4,000 years to the time of the oldest civilization in Europe. The Palace of Knossos, center of the Minoan Civilization, will render you breathless as you wonder over the technology and facilities of that period.

Continue your tour to Iraklion city. History is very much alive in Iraklion as in most Greek cities. The central square while surrounded by cafes, stores and restaurants, is dominated by the fountain of the lions, built by Morozini, the Venetian governor in 1628. The Town Hall, is today housed in the Venetian Loggia, a building from the same era. Even more sights can be seen during your stroll around Heraklion before you return to the ship.

Please print these vouchers and bring them with you on your cruise. You will be required to turn the voucher(s) in to the corresponding shore excursion supplier(s). The vouchers feature information regarding how to meet up with the tour leader upon arrival to a port and other important details.
