St. Thomas Shark Encounter

Get the charge of a lifetime as juvenile sharks circle within a couple of feet of you in the Shark Shallows. Learn the truth and myths about the ocean's top predator.

After your orientation session in which your guide will take you to the Shark Shallows where you will have an opportunity to enter the pool with a variety of juvenile sharks that inhabit the waters of the Virgin Islands. Experience the thrill of viewing the sharks up close from above and below the water as they circle the pool. Time in the water is approximately 15 to 20 minutes long.

You must be 4' 8" tall in order to participate.

Remember to bring your camera. Bring or wear a swim suit & towel. You must be 4' 8" tall in order to participate. Feeding & Show Schedule: Caribbean Reef Encounter 9:30 am & 1:30 pm, Observation Tower 12:30 pm, Shark Shallows 9:45 am & 1:00 pm, Stingray Lagoon 10:15 am & 2:30 pm, Sea Lion Presentation 10:45 am & 2:15 pm, Turtle Talk 11:00 am & 3:00 pm, Bird Talk 12:00 pm, Iguana/Tortoise Talk 3:30 pm, Shop Talk 11:30 am Mon to Fri. Please note capacity limited to space available.

Redemption and Voucher Details

  1. After you complete your booking, your credit card will be charged and our expert Shore Excursion Concierge agents will 'hand'-review your shore excursion selections against your cruise itinerary to confirm compatibility. Your credit card statement will list the merchant for the charges as Port Promo Cruise Tours.
  2. You will receive an email within 72 hours of booking from myexcursions@portpromotions.com which confirms your booking and contains the vouchers required for your shore excursions. Please print these vouchers and bring them with you on your cruise. You will be required to turn the voucher(s) in to the corresponding shore excursion supplier(s). The vouchers feature information regarding how to meet up with the tour leader upon arrival to a port and other important details.
