Walking Old San Juan City Tour

Walking around Old San Juan is the best way to immerse yourself in its timeless beauty and charm. Even the most determined tourist can't cover all there is to see and do here in one day; among the more celebrated monuments and memorials are countless small wonders that will tempt the historian, the shopper, the diner, and the curious child in you.

A two hour tour is a great way of understanding the 500 year history of San Juan as a great military stronghold. The view of fort El Morro from outside is one of the stops. This tour has been planned by members of the Puerto Rico Tour Guide Society and has been seen as a necessary alternative to visitors to the island. We are sure that you will be delighted.

This tour means not being inside a bus in a traffic jam. You are able to get closer to locals artisans making and selling the homemade products like a bamboo cup, locals cigars, tropical candies, souvenirs made of wood, calabash and other raw material. Leather belts, soaps and a wide list of other things.

At the end of the tour, you will know where to shop, eat, drink, take advantage of any special event and eventually know how to walk back to the ship. This tour is recommended for people that like and can walk about a mile. Please note, this tour runs rain or shine!

Tips

This tour is recommended for people that like and can walk about a mile. Wear comfortable shoes, bring some water and an umbrella. The two hour tour does not include entering any of the two forts and we recommend that you can visit the fort on your own after the tour. This tour runs rain or shine.
