Tongass Rainforest Hiking Expedition

Hike the pristine Ward Creek Trail, lined by old growth spruce and hemlock. Hear the rushing waters of Ward Creek. See abundant berries, flowers and skunk cabbage in season as you navigate into the Tongass National Forest, accessible only by hiking. The trail is groomed to high standards of the U.S. Forest Service. It is moderately rolling and climbing to an elevation of about 100 feet over two miles, traversing a gentle mountain slope.

Guests can see a variety of wildlife including waterfowl, woodpeckers and small mammals. Bears are rare. While on the trail, visitors can become more closely acquainted with the issues in the Tongass, including resource and wildlife management and the local economy.

Please print these vouchers and bring them with you on your cruise. You will be required to turn the voucher(s) in to the corresponding shore excursion supplier(s). The vouchers feature information regarding how to meet up with the tour leader upon arrival to a port and other important details.
