You will be escorted by your English speaking Egyptologist guide to the famous Giza Plateau, home of Egypt’s signature attractions. Here you will see the Great Pyramids, one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world including the Great Pyramid of Cheops, middle pyramids of Chephren, and the little one of Mykerinos. Also located at Giza is the mysterious Sphinx, the Father of Terror for the ancient pharaohs and includes a visit to the valley temple facing the great sphinx. You will next be transferred to Sakkara for the next leg of your journey. Here you will board your 4x4 vehicle, for an approximately 15 minutes ride off-road, pausing for a photo opportunity of the panoramic views of Sakkara. Your journey by 4x4 will continue until you reach the camel caravan in the desert. Your camel ride of approximately 30 minutes will take you to the Sakkara country club for lunch before traveling on by air conditioned vehicle to the Sakkkara step pyramid of King Djoser, which was designed by Imhotep, the ancient Egyptian architect. Also, you will see some tombs belonging to high officials of Ti and Mereruca. You will then be transported back to your cruise ship at the end of the tour.
