Experience the city's highlights on a pleasant drive through St Petersburg.

You will pass the Nevsky Prospect, St Petersburg's most famous street, the vast Palace Square, the University Embankment that is lined with buildings of the 18th century, and much more.

Your drive will then take you through the suburbs to the opulent Catherine Palace. This estate, in what was formerly known as Tsarskoe Selo, was the summer residence of the imperial family.

Explore its grand state rooms, the superb white marble Grand Staircase and the spectacularly baroque Great Hall - an astonishing room of gilt, carved wood and mirrors - and the famous Amber Room that was stolen by the Nazi. It was recreated and reopened in 2003 after 23 years of restoration.

Please Note: This tour is not available on Tuesday and Catherine's Palace is closed the last Monday of the month & will be substituted with the Palace of Paul.

Tips

Remember to bring your camera. As an officially registered company our tour operator, provides you with visa free excursions and will meet you near your ship. According to the Russian Federation law, visas are not required for the shore excursions if you book the tour through the company officially licensed and authorized by the Russian government to receive foreign cruise passengers and to operate inside St Petersburg port area. As they are officially authorized by the Russian government they will supply you with the proper documentation: a Tour Ticket that you will present along with your passport to the customs/ immigration offices. You will need to provide your passport information for this paperwork to be completed 10 days prior to sail date.

Redemption and Voucher Details

  1. After you complete your booking, your credit card will be charged and our expert Shore Excursion Concierge agents will 'hand'-review your shore excursion selections against your cruise itinerary to confirm compatibility. Your credit card statement will list the merchant for the charges as Port Promo Cruise Tours.
  2. You will receive an email within 72 hours of booking from myexcursions@portpromotions.com which confirms your booking and contains the vouchers required for your shore excursions. Please print these vouchers and bring them with you on your cruise. You will be required to turn the voucher(s) in to the corresponding shore excursion supplier(s). The vouchers feature information regarding how to meet up with the tour leader upon arrival to a port and other important details.
