A short drive uphill (10 min) brings you to the starting point for this stunning hike to the Storseter Waterfall. Follow your guide along the steep path zigzags uphill, passing through meadows and finish at the thundering waterfall. The cascading water plunges at a curving angle, allowing you to walk behind it without getting completely soaked. Amazing photo opportunity!
After a short rest, head downhill to Westerås Farm, perched on a ledge above Geiranger. Abandoned years ago because of the danger of avalanches in the winter. Now the host invites us to a coffee/tea break with home made waffles. Then either relax a bit here or hike a long the pathway to Vesterås viewpoint right above the Geiranger harbor. You can see the cruise ship from above! Everyone will hike back to the starting point to catch the coach back to the pier.
Note: Guests must be able to walk 5 miles over dirt parths and inclined terrain. Hiking shoes are strongly recommended. Guests should carry a backpack for their belongings and bring a bottle of water to stay hydrated. This tour will be operated in nearly all weather conditions so participants should take appropriate weather gear with them. In case of very wet terrain the tour may not be operated. Tour order may vary, but all listed sights will be covered. A parent or guardian must accompany children under the age of 16.
