Board your motorcoach and pass the Royal Liver Building. The building's towers are topped by the Liver Birds, statues of the mythical figures from which the city derives its name.
Your route passes Pier Head, Town Hall, and Chinatown. Continue through the city's suburbs and parklands to Penny Lane.
Drive to Albert Dock, opened in 1846, the dock was England's gateway to the New World.
Visit Liverpool's Roman Catholic basilica, Christ the King Cathedral, consecrated in 1967. This cathedral is topped with a spiked lantern tower containing 25,000 pieces of stained glass.
You will also see the Anglican Cathedral begun in 1904 and completed in 1978. It is the largest Anglican cathedral in Britain. The facade of the red brick cathedral is vaguely Gothic in style.
Photo opportunities will include the Walker Art Gallery, completed in 1875, which is an elegant gallery donated to the city by brewer Andrew Walker to commemorate his term as Liverpool's mayor; St. George's Hall, opened in 1854, where Dickens frequently held readings and considered to be one of the finest neo-classical buildings in Europe; and not be forgotten Penny Lane where you can photograph the street sign immortalized by the Beatles.
