Nazareth and Galilee

Walk Jesus' footsteps and embark on a journey that will take you to sites in the Galilee area that symbolize the birth of christianity more than 2,000 years ago.

Your journey back in time starts as we drive east along the north slopes of Mt Carmel until we reach Megiddo (Armageddon), one of the key sites to helping us understanding the history of the region. This is the location overlooking the biblical Valley were the battle of the "sons of Light and the "sons of Darkness"

We continue north to Nazarareth, the childhood home of Jesus and the Church of Annunciation followed by a walk through the Old city of Nazareth where you will visit Mary's Spring and St. Joseph's Church. You will make your way from Nazareth to Mount of Beatitudes, the mountaintop where Jesus gave his Sermon. The neighboring village of Cana where the first miricale preformed by Jesus turned water into wine. A short distance away is Capernaum, home to four of the apostles, located on the shores of Galilee.

We then drive eas to the sea of Galilee and along its north shore to Explore Peter's ancient home that is still standing, and the old synagogue where Jesus preached on Sabbath and Mt Beatitudes, the site of the sermon on the Mountian.

Continue your journey to Tabgha, to the Church of Multiplication, where the miracle of "Fish & Bread" took place, and Peter's Primacy Church. Make way to the Jordan River Baptism site by driving through the ancient city of Tiberius. Take this rare opportunity to be baptized, enjoy lunch or shop for Holy Land souvenirs before you travel back to the port of Haifa.
