“We took this excursion at 9:00 a.m. and out Tour Guide, Jolene, should win some type of award!! So long as Port Promotions continues to book with Tribal Tours it is an OUTSTANDING excursion!! There isn't a whole lot to do in Sitka especially for those who aren't amazed by nature like we are. This excursion was all of my family's highlight. At The Fortress of the Bear you get to be as close as anyone should want to several Brown Bears. Be sure to visit the rabbits, Miniature Pony, ducks, goats and ram too! Inside scoop: If you have kids, even if you don't, purchase the Adopt a Bear for 0.00 once you're at Fortress of the Bear and they will right then and there give you a behind-the-scenes tour which includes HAND-FEEDING the bear you adopt!!! We adopted Lucky :) This experience is....I don't have the words. Then our well informed, native, tour-guide took us to a park that we walked around and then saw a short movie about Sitka. We ended this short day by having lunch at the Agave Restaurant where Hope works and is the best waitress ever. Be sure to stop by the Raven Coffee Shop for what may be the best coffee. In closing, this excursion is a do not miss!!”
