Docking area: There are numerous docking spaces all within walking distance to the town center. On busy days some ships will anchor and tender passengers ashore. Shopping: Jewelry, Alaska souvenirs, and numerous handicrafts and art. One place not to miss is Latitude 58 and of course the Alaska Fudge Company both on the main street ( Franklin St.). Points of Interest: Without any doubt, the high point of your visit will be to experience the Mendenhall Glacier, either by participating in the Juneau City/ Glacier tour or by flying over it and actually landing on the Juneau Ice Fields in our Glacier Helicopter excursion. The excursion also includes a countryside journey near Auke Lake and Chapel before returning back the city, visiting specific sights and historic buildings.
