Docking area: All ships dock at the very end of the Lynn Canal, app 1/2 mile from the main street of Skagway.  A short walk or shuttles available.

Shopping: Jewelry, Alaska souvenirs, hand-printed art & gold rush related souvenirs. 

Points of Interest: Skagway provides a reconstructed glimpse of the days of the Gold Rush. Wooden sidewalks and preserved storefronts.  While many visitors opt for the train excursion retracing the Trail of 98, our Great Frontier provides an extremely interesting voyage by comfortable van or coach.   Not only is the breathtaking scenery an unforgettable feature, but our guides provide a more intimate and informative narrative of the hardships, landmarks and lives of the prospectors for about 1/3 of the cost!  The Gold Panning Experience is a must for every visitor.  There is a Days of '98 show presented at various times of the day at the end of the main street in the old Eagle Hall.  There is also an interesting film presentation ion the visitors center at the beginning of the street.

This tour runs parallel to the White Pass & Yukon Railroad route providing fascinating sights of the "Trail of '98", Pitchfork Falls and traversing the unique Moore Creek Bridge. Everyone enjoys the advantage of actually being able to stop at the numerous "photo ops" and breathtaking mountain passes. A visit to the Gold Rush Cemetery, final resting place of the legendary Soapy Smith and other infamous men is one of our bonus stops.
