of stalactites and stalagmites in Harrison's Cave, plus tours of St.
John's Church, dating from the early 1600s. Situated 800 feet above

east Atlantic coast. Your visit to Harrison's Caves is enhanced by
the drive by an electrically powered tram that whisks passengers
through the beautifully lit caverns, while the land portion of the
tour is conducted in comfortable mid sized buses. Before returning to the ship we have arranged for our group to visit the beautifully restored Sunbury

Your safari to the Wildlife Reserve begins with a
scenic island drive in four-wheel-drive vehicles. As you leave the
hustle and bustle of the south coast, the landscape turns into
undulating hills and green fields of sugar-cane. You’ll pass
through various small villages on your way to the Scotland District
on the picturesque east coast, where you’ll be treated to some
magnificent coastal scenery. Driving northward, you’ll make your
way inland to the Wildlife Reserve. Originally founded as a monkey
sanctuary, the reserve is now home to numerous other animals,
including deer, tortoises, hares and quite a few African green
monkeys. As you enter the reserve, you’re in the animals’ world,
and you’ll quickly see that they are free to roam. You’ll have
ample time to walk around on the paths and observe the animals in
their natural habitat prior to your scenic drive back to the ship.
SEA
KAYAK, TURTLE ENCOUNTER AND BEACH

Ocean kayaking is a fun and exciting way to enjoy the beautiful blue
water and coastal scenery of Barbados. After a brief taxi transfer,
you’ll board a powerboat for a scenic cruise up the west coast to
meet your kayak guide. A safety briefing and kayak lesson will be
provided before paddling toward Turtle Bay on your sit-on-top double
kayak. Along the way, you’ll enjoy the marvelous beaches and
coastline, while your guide provides an ongoing commentary about the
island and marine environment. After approximately 45-minutes,
you’ll reach Turtle Bay, where the kayaks will be secured to a
floating pontoon and a refreshing beverage will be served. Prior to
your up-close turtle encounter, a snorkeling lesson and an
informative talk on the species will be provided. Then you’ll
enter the water and have ample time to enjoy these fascinating
marine reptiles as the guide feeds them. Following your encounter
there will be time to enjoy one of Barbados’s beautiful beaches
prior to your return to the harbor via a powerboat. Your snorkeling equipment (including a mask, snorkel and
safety vest), professional instruction, supervision and
complimentary beverages are all provided.

interest but serves as our gateway to the fascinating city of
Caracas. Keep in mind that the language is Spanish and because of
this it may be difficult to find an English speaking driver. In
spite of this we have made exclusive arrangements to provide you
with excellent English speaking guides for the Caracas Highlights
Excursion. Due to the special characteristics of this metropolitan
city, this is a highly recommended way to experience this diverse
city.

it is on to the most famous attraction on the island, the Curacao
Seaquarium. Literally hundreds of marine species are on display in a

RAIN FOREST HIKING

After a short transfer up into the mountains to Grand Etang National
Park, our guide directs us into the forest along semi developed
paths for app. 1 hour. As you hike around the crater's lake, keep
your eyes and ears open for the elusive but often seen monkeys and
other wildlife. This excursion is designed for the naturalist who
enjoys natural beauty and the outdoors. The hike is of moderate
difficulty but does require considerable walking.

residential areas graced by Victorian buildings, up into the
mountains for beautiful scenic stops. Journey on through Banana
Valley, before arriving in Marigot Bay-a tranquil blue lagoon

special treat for our group, we are invited to St. Marks, a private
old Colonial style home perched on a hill overlooking Castries

CRUISE TO THE VOLCANO

Enjoy a relaxing catamaran coastal cruise down to Soufriere where
you are transferred up into the world's only drive-in volcano. Visit
the crater, the mineral baths and the botanical gardens all in sight
of the Pitons. Enjoy the included West Indian lunch at a local
restaurant. A brief swimming stop is also made on the return. On
selected ships this itinerary is modified as a Land & Sea combo

St. Lucia’s dramatic topography and
dense, lush tropical forests provide the perfect place for an
adventurous safari. Traveling in a rugged 4WD vehicle, you’ll
visit a beautifully restored sugar mill and go "off-road"
to some secluded hideaways. Departing Castries, you’ll take a
short jaunt to Morne Fortune Hill for a panoramic view of the
harbor. Then you’ll cruise through several lush valleys with
banana plantations before you head "off-road" for a
spectacular view of Mt. Gimie, St. Lucia’s highest mountain. Next,
you’ll stop by the picturesque Anse La Raye Waterfall. Continuing
on, the next stop is the La Sikwi Sugar Mill where you will see how
sugar was once processed during the time when it was king. Your
final stop will be a natural fresh water pool, where you can enjoy a
refreshing swim or simply relax. Beverages and local fruits will be
available throughout this tour.
