Visit a traditional Andalusian village, the site of the only square bullring in Spain. You will experience Malaga on a narrated drive about town. Next visit the cathedral, built on the site of the city's old mosque. Tour a wine bodega and taste Malaga Virgen, the region's famed sweet wine made from muscatel grapes.
Your tour will include Mijas, a traditional Andalusian village which features narrow streets, whitewashed stucco houses adorned with wrought iron balconies, and superb coastal views. View the exterior of La Malagueta, the only square bullring in all of Spain, and enjoy approximately an hour of free time to sightsee and shop on your own.
Continue on to the Malaga Cathedral built between the 16th and 18th centuries on the site of Malaga's mosque. This cathedral is known as La Manquita, "the one-armed one," due to its uncompleted second tower. The cathedral is a mixture of styles, featuring a Baroque facade, a Gothic door, a superb Renaissance altar, and magnificent Baroque choir stalls.
Stop for a tour of the Wine Cellar and tasting of Malaga Virgen, the famed sweet wine made from local muscatel grapes.
Photo opportunities include La Malagueta, built in 1874; Malaga's bullring can seat over 15,000 aficionados and Gibralfao Castle, perched above the city, the old Moorish fortress offers panoramic views of the city and the Mediterranean.

Tour groups are not allowed inside the Cathedral or churches during mass services. Entry will be allowed on an individual basis to view the interior quietly and reverently; guides will explain the cathedral from the outside. The cathedral is closed on Sundays. Tour may include visit inside the Mijas bullring, if it is open. This tour is only available to established groups of 15 persons or more. You will want to be sure to bring your camera as you will have many excellent photo opportunities. Excursions listed for a port may not be available for every cruise.
